About This Course

The AWS Certified CloudOps Engineer – Associate (SOA-C03) course prepares learners for operational roles focused on deploying, managing, and optimising workloads on AWS. It validates the ability to monitor systems, implement security controls, manage networks, and ensure reliability and business continuity in cloud environments.

This course is designed for learners with some prior IT experience who are ready to deepen their operational cloud skills. It builds directly on foundational certifications such as AWS Cloud Practitioner and is a recognised credential for advancing towards more specialised AWS roles.

Domain 1: Monitoring, Logging, Analysis, Remediation, and Performance Optimization

  • Configure monitoring and logging with CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and related tools
  • Automate remediation using EventBridge, Lambda, and Systems Manager runbooks
  • Optimise performance for compute, storage, and database workloads

Domain 2: Reliability and Business Continuity

  • Implement elasticity and scalability
  • Design highly available and resilient architectures
  • Perform backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures

Domain 3: Deployment, Provisioning, and Automation

  • Provision and maintain AWS resources
  • Use CloudFormation, IaC, CLI, and SDKs for automation
  • Implement repeatable deployment processes

Domain 4: Security and Compliance

  • Implement security controls and compliance policies
  • Manage identity, access, and data protection
  • Apply governance and auditing best practices

Domain 5: Networking and Content Delivery

  • Configure VPCs, subnets, gateways, and routing
  • Implement DNS and Route 53 configurations
