Future in Tech is an online training and mentorship programme, helping jobseekers without a tech background develop new skills across a range of in-demand tech areas, classified as pathways.

Below is a list of Future in Tech Learning Pathways, and further down the page is the process for application and course progression.

Please note: Applications for the 2024 Future in Tech intake are now closed. For the 2025 Future in Tech intake, you can register your interest now for all pathways and we will inform you when applications are open. Click here to register your interest.

Learning Pathways

Application and Progression Process

  1. Select one (and only one) of the Future in Tech Skills Pathways 
  2. Complete the online Application Form.
  3. If you meet the eligibility criteria you will be invited to complete the Core Course ‘Get Connected’, a basic introductory certified course that typically takes 30 hours to complete. You will do an assessment at the end of the course and if you Pass this assessment you will be allowed to proceed to the next stage of training.
  4. The next stage is to complete an Online Aptitude Test.
  5. The next stage is to attend an Information Webinar
  6. The next stage is to attend a Personal Interview.
  7. Applicants will then be ranked on the grade achieved in the Aptitude Test and the interview, and the top 25 applicants will be offered a place on the first course of each of the Pathways. The remainder will remain on a waiting list and may be offered places as they become available in future programmes, as per ranking.
  8. Upon successful completion of each stage of the training, you will be allowed to proceed to the next stage and ultimately, you will gain the industry and other standard certifications to enable you to seek a job role in your chosen career path.
  9. Throughout the programme you will be learning from Industry Mentors and gaining real life understanding of what your qualification will mean in the work environment.
  10. The Career Support Service will link with you right from the start to help you develop a Career plan, atop class C.V. and the skills necessary to interview like a pro!
